The Saudi  Standards,  Metrology and  Quality  Organization  (SASO) has  announced  the  start  of binding ceramic products, including porcelain, to obtain the Saudi Quality Mark, as of    Muharram 14th, 1441 AH, corresponding to September 13th, 2019. SASO confirmed that the entry of ceramic products from Saudi ports, or selling them on market, after this date is prohibited unless holding the Mark.

It is noteworthy that SASO's Board of Directors has already agreed to raise the level of conformity assessment procedure on ceramic products to the fifth level (Type 5). It is represented in binding to the  Quality  Mark,  according  to  the  details  announced  in  the  Technical  Regulation  of  Building Materials No. (M.A. 161-17-07-03).

沙特标准局（SASO）决定从2019年9月13日开始，对所有从沙特港口入境或在沙特市场上销售的陶瓷产品实施质量标记(Quality Mark)认证。在此日期之后，所有没有此认证标记的陶瓷产品将严禁进口或销售。

另外值得注意的是，SASO董事会决定将陶瓷产品的符合性评估等级提到到第五级。即根据建

材技术法规(M.A.161-17-07-03)将其列入质量标记(Quality Mark)认证。
